the infantry formations are motorized but several are more
specialized: guards (two battalions): special forces (one commando
and one parachute): and an armored reconnaissance squadron
The two field artillery regiments, equipped with Chinese weapon and
the air defense regiment has AA guns and man-portable,
shoulder-launched missiles only.
Each infantry brigade has two or three infantry battalions (31 APCs,
a reconnaissance company (12 EE-9s, signals company, mortar battery
(6 81/82 mm or 120 mm), AA gun battery, engineer company, supply
transport, workshops, medical units.
