The company has a permenant Royal Marine Warrant Officer on secondment for training, and is equipped with:

The company is organized into the following units:

            Joint Communication Unit, Falkland Island (RN, Army, RAF; also EW)

            EOD Team (ex-33 Engineer Regiment)

 

Royal Navy

 

In February 2010, the Royal Navy temporarily assigned HMS York (Type 42 DDG) to patrolling the Falklands because of an Argentine declaration that all ships sailing in Argentine waters required prior permission. Since Argentina  claims the Falklands, the order applies to the Falklands. An SSN was said to have been sent to the area.

 

HMS Clyde (1850-tons) Patrol vessel;  1 x 30mm, 2 miniguns, 2 GPMG

HMS Scott (13,000-tons) No armament; patrols southern reaches; ice breaker

RFA Wave Ruler (tanker)
