Mission statement:
First Army mobilizes, trains, validates,
and deploys Reserve Component (RC) units IAW Combatant Commander,
Department of the Army, and FORSCOM directives. As directed,
provides training to Joint, Combined, and Active Army Forces.[1]

Improve readiness of Reserve Component forces
Mobilize, prepare & deploy Army Reserve
and National Guard units
Certify Training of units and individuals
Protect the Force
