Meanwhile, the Leopards are to be modernized by 2008, and modernization of the M-60s is planned. There is talk of buying M-1s and Leopard 2s, but please treat all reports of Turkish arms purchases with caution until a deal is actually signed.   An additional 2400 AAC APCs (Turkish model based on M-113) are on order. A stretched variant with a variety of different turrets for use as an IFV/AD/AT/heavy mortar carrier is under design.   400 new towed 155mm howitzers are under delivery. 300 new SP 155mm howitzers under delivery.     [3] More in store.
