IRAN REVOLUTIONARY GUARD CORPS
By about 2004 most divisions had been converted to brigades. Because
of increasing tension with the US Iran in 2007-08 undertook to
reraise divisions and create new ones, for a total of 31.
This orbat dates back to 2001, before the division-to-brigade change
took place. We cannot say if the old division numbers were retained
in the 2007-08 buildup.
