Order was cut from 212. The order of 80 is composed
of:
40 anti-tank
40 escort

NH-90 (replace UH-1H) Original order was for 134; cut to 80; UH-1s will
be kept flying till
sufficient replacements are available. As the NH-90
is a heavier helicopter will greater troop carrying
capability, presumably replacement will not be on a 1-1
basis.

only 12 have been lost.

uses “Air Mechanized” for attack helicopter units
