Regimental locations
This list
is not completely accurate: some of these regiments may have
disbanded and there may be others not on our list. A problem we face
is that our local person was not available in time to correlate
place names, which are at times spelled differently by Armenia and
Azerbaijan, and then spelled differently in the English-medium
press.
In the
event you wonder how so many Armenian units are on NK territory when
the latter is an island wholly surrounded by Azerbaijan,
Armenia is in control of 7
Azeri districts including one bordering Iran, and is thus contiguous
to NK. Maps do not show this as the occupation of 20% of Azerbaijan
is not accepted by the world community.
